Missing buttons on the SOP Transaction window? Turn off the Action Pane

This morning I needed to research the distributions for SOP Invoices and Returns for an integration I was modifying.  I opened the GP 2013 SOP Transaction Entry window and started to click on the Distribution button.

But there was no Distributions button.


Wait, what happened?  I thought that the Sales Transaction Entry window had a Distributions button.  Was I going crazy?  Did they remove the button?

I called Victoria Yudin to ask her if she knew when then button was removed.  She thought I was crazy, since she was pretty sure that there should be a Distributions button--but then she checked, and she didn't see it either.  We checked GP 2015 as well, and no Distributions button.

And then somehow, Victoria figured it out.  Somehow, she knew to try going into the User Preferences window and change the "Window Command Display" option to Menu Bar.


Once you make that change, close GP, then relaunch, the SOP Transaction Entry buttons magically re-appear.

What in the Wide World of Sports is going on here?

So in GP 2013 R2 through GP 2015 R2, if you want to use the Holds, User-Defined, Distributions, or Commissions buttons on the SOP Transaction Entry window, you have to use the Menu Bar setting???



I don't keep up on the GP Community forum so this may be old news for many and I'm just late to the party.

Is this a bug?  So confused.
