by David Willis, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft US Small and Midmarket Solutions & Partners (SMS&P)

Today, I am pleased to announce that Stephen Boyle will be joining our US SMS&P Leadership Team as Vice President, Microsoft US Partner Strategy & Programs. This announcement is the culmination of an exhaustive search for the right leader, and I know Stephen will play a key role in leading across Microsoft US to transform how we scale our business together with partners. Stephen’s role is a critical one for the organization and the company, as he will serve as our US “Channel Chief,” supporting our vast US partner ecosystem.

Stephen is a tenured veteran of the industry, and most recently held the position of Vice President, Enterprise Partner Group, reporting to Susan Hauser. He has more than 25 years of experience in the high-tech industry, spanning hardware, software, direct and indirect sales. He is known for transforming business models to meet market demands. Previous to that role, Stephen was Group Vice President, Strategic Alliances at Oracle Corporation, managing their most important software and hardware partners globally, and held other leadership positions there for nearly ten years.

In his own words,“I'm very excited to join US SMS&P as the new US Channel Chief. I'm looking forward to working closely with many of you and accelerating partner transformation in this mobile-first, cloud-first world. I believe we must enable and engage with all of our partners to help you build compelling industry and business solutions for our joint customers. The cloud creates new opportunities for all of us.”

The mission of US Partner Strategy & Programs is to build the best partner channel for businesses by bringing the best of Microsoft together, and I am confident that Stephen’s leadership, with the support of the Microsoft US Leadership Team, will have a tremendous impact here.

Please join me in welcoming Stephen. If you are at WPC 2015 in Orlando, you will have a chance to meet him later today, during the Microsoft North America General Session, Selling Experiences to Win, at 4:00PM in Room S320.

Thanks,

Dave
