Microsoft’s intuitive business management software solution, Dynamics GP, has released its second round of 2015 updates. Dynamics GP 2015 R2 provides a variety of new features and increased functionality.
The update became generally available to users for download on June 1st. The most anticipated modification will come from the tighter integration with the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

Microsoft Azure Integration - Seamless collaboration between GP and Azure as a result of new scripts and utilities designed to help Microsoft partners automate provisioning of Dynamics GP instances on Azure cloud service.
All in One Document Viewer - Redesigned to display related purchasing documents for a specific vendor on a single form. Viewing these documents from the same window will save users time when searching for relevant information pertaining to a purchasing document.
SmartList Designer - Improved to streamline the creation of SmartLists and Microsoft Excel reports. Also added is the ability to incorporate data from other places within Dynamics GP, as well as outside sources.
Visual Indicators - Used to recognize customers who have exceeded their credit limit.
Native Workflows - New feature added to handle Accounts Payable Transactions. Workflow group members are not required to be Dynamics GP users to review and approve workflow steps if “Email Actions” is enabled. Approvals can be completed from within the email notification created by the workflow.
Microsoft Dynamics Time Management App - Allows users to manage and report time from their mobile device. The application will soon be released in the Windows, Android and Apple stores.
Dynamics GP is continuously undergoing developments to meet the demands of the ever-changing technology landscape. Microsoft is listening to their customers and basing upgrades on users' needs. The great part is that most of the improvements are not shocking alterations. With two upgrades per year, Microsoft is able to ease users into advancements without them having to relearn everything.
