Filtering Data

Often when organizations have a lot of data, a filter can help narrow down the records to what you need. Choose the drop-down arrow next to Filter in the upper-right corner of the list. Point to Add Filter, and then select a column to filter on in the menu.

Outlook Client 5

You have a number of choices on how you’d like to narrow the filter definition.

Outlook Client 6

When complete if you like your new view, you can choose to Save Filters as New View from the Filter menu. This will allow you to select it as a personal view under that entity.

Sorting

Sorting is another function available to find your data. To sort one of the columns you simply click on the column heading name. For example if you are working in an Account view, click the Account Name column heading to list from A to Z. If you click the column heading again, it sorts the list from Z to A.

Outlook Client 7

When you combine your filters and sorting options you can create groups of data with similar values.
